The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as Best.

Work is changing shifts, what are my rights

Im laid off right now and I just heard from with that I will be going back but instead of my first shift they are going to put me on working Friday- Sunday 12 hour shift at night. Do I have any rights to this other than quitting my job?
Answer1:No. In this market there are people with PhDs who would be happy to take your place.
Answer2:You do not have to take it, but unless there is some contract to the contrary, cannot demand that you be put on a certain shift. Id advise you to take it. Your weekdays will be free, and you can look for another job then, if you want.As I understand it, you have not been offered the shift yet. If and when you get notice, you can politely inquire whether there is any space on teh day shift open, instead. But in the likely event that the answer is no, Id still advise you to take the job.
Answer3:Nope........quit and starve.......no jobs out there.......There are thousand and thousands of talented, experience people on the street due to the economy…the competition for any job is extreme. …people will do anything for much less just to feed their kids……..I don’t expect it to get any better before 2012……sorry……

Question about my career and music

Alright so I love guitar, I love music, and I love business. I would absolutely love to get into something dealing with guitar, I have been thinking about opening up a music store that will sell instruments (not just guitars) when Im out of college, of course right now Im only a sophomore in high school lol. But I dont know if a music store would bring me much money. And money plays a fairly big part in what Im going to do. So, is there a different career that deals with maybe playing guitar THAT WILL ALSO bring me really good money? How about a studio musician? Anything? Let me know! Thanks!
      Answer1:Jobs-http://jobchmob.com/
Answer2:Thats actually a very intelligent and mature way to look at your love for music. Most people would be basing their whole life depending on that one chance to make it big as a PERFORMER, rather than a business (wo)man. Starting your own business will prove to be very difficult, but it you work hard and plan for many years after you first open the doors of your music store, youll have a great job and will earn a lot of money. Dont be put off by the current economy, either, it will get better and if you study around the current economy you should be fine when it gets better.

Olympic construction jobs

I live about 30 mins from the olympic construction sites in London but have yet to see any construction jobs advertised for the work needed. Who has taken all the work? foreign workers maybe?
Answer1:As usual (when theres a public money gravy train loading up) I expect all the Contracts have all gone to the mates/relatives of the people in power at the time (Ken Livingstone, I presume) and they have their own workforces ...With the current recession, I suggest its highly unlikely they will be advertising for workers .. more likley they will be making people Redundant ... or simply hiring from the people queuing outside their doors ..

Should i leave or stay in my job

i work with adults with learning disabilities helping by changing the attitudes of medical professionals who just treat them like c**p, i work closely with my community nurse as i also have L,D, but one person who i work with who also has L,D gets on my nerves so much that i just feel like hitting her i have never quit a job before and have tried to quit this one in the past but they talked me round, i just feel like i need to get out now before my stress and anxiety get any worse, what do you think i should do?
Answer1:When your job is that horrible then it is time to find a new one before you get arrested...
Answer2:make sure you have another job lined up before you quit
Answer3:Its a little hard unless you have another job to go to especially with the current crisis. Maybe you could talk to these people that you work with to try to work a solution out.I never like to advise anyone to quit their job but if you just really cannot work it out, then you may not have any other choice. Please just try though and keep trying to find a new job to go to.I say all of this because Ive been unemployed for a year and I let myself get to the point where I had no choice but to quit my job because it was affecting my overall health.
Answer4:Hi there, I found this website today through an e-mail a co-worker sent me...http://www.MaverickOnlineMoney.comI watched his videos on this site, and Im blown away that he is making over $2,000,000 a year. Why dont you see for yourself and tell me what you think because Im thinking of joining myself.

Need some advice

I applied to red robin as well as my brother. My brother said hell bring mine because hes going there with his friend. I think I have made a mistake because when we went there he had a small interview and there very interested in him. And told him to call next week. I think that would of happen to me also but now because I didnt show up might hurt my chances of even getting a job there. My question is should I go there like my brother did even tho they already have my application to just should that Im interested in getting a job there? And when I go there what should I say? Im just really stressed out and I just need so help. Thanks in advance.
Answer1:believe me its in your best interest to go ...and just tell them that you had your brother take and after realizing it that you should have taken it. You just want to tell them how interested you are in working there. Then in about a week if you havent heard anything call or go by and tell them that you would like to speak to the manger and tell him/her the manger that you were just checking in on your application. Let me know how it works out for you. Hope it helps.

Hi, i am college student that would like to find a good online job like data entry, surveys

I would like surveys that pay more than just cents and online data entry jobs that are easy to use. thanks!!!
Answer1:Sorry,They are all scams and you wont make any money. What you will end up with is a bunch of junk mail and subscriptions to newspapers that you dont want, and then you wait for MONTHS to get paid, then you get about 2 cents.I swear, Ive tried every single type of work at home job, and they are all scams.
Answer2:pretend its your birthday, and pin money on your shirt so you can get hundreds of dollars in one day
Answer3:Forget all the ads you see about working from home like that, they are spam, they charge you money and so not provide you a job at all. Watch the news they talk about it all the time. Court reporters after finishing college and working for some time or med ins billers that finish college and work for sometime get occassional offers to do this kind of work.Any offers you get here are not real. Its almost like a pyramid scheme, you sign up with one, that you pay, the person you pay gets a commission for signing you up and you get zip except to now get told to sign someone up. A very good paying job is working for a bank P/T. They have people who work at night and get paid big money to do their processing of thier bank deposits. Go ask a bank about this, I met someone who did this, she was a mom of one of the kids at my daughters school. I did not ask how she did it but she got low hours huge pay and full benefits, to entice her to never ever miss work, its a very responsible job so no time is allowed off without almost months of advance notice, and sick days are very scrutinized since the hours are so short and the work is very basic and easy.
Answer4:its a spam.... dont know how you are going to make out of that...just get a job at shop or something...and ur college student like me, so get busy studying. if finance is a problem for you, do you know why there is a govt fund and tax money is used for??
Answer5:The only way to make money is a real job where you might actually break a sweat --there are no free rides, never have been, never will be
Answer6:liveops.comcloud10westathomealpineaccessmonster.comLook for telecommuting jobs work at home jobs but avoid all home businesses of your own, always work for a company.
Answer7:Well you could try survey sites. Theyve worked for me. I review some survey sites to make money that have worked for me at http://goodsurveysites.com What you have to do is complete surveys and offers for companies that want the publics opinion. By doing this, you are able to earn money very easily for simply giving your opinion or trying out sample products. This is a great service that allows one to work from home, on their spare time, at their leisure, and still bring in a nice sum of money every month. People have made up to $1000 easily on this site by just working on it in their spare time. It is not going to replace a real jobs salary, but it is a very nice bonus. There are also many features on these web site, such as contests and special surveys, from which you can redeem extra prizes that would be sent to you with your monthly cheque, such as iPods, Xbox 360s, PSPs, digital cameras, gift certificates, and much more.Cheques are sent monthly, and usually arrive about a week or a week and a half into the next month. No payment from you is ever required, not to sign up, not EVER. Unlike other sites that try to scam people out of their money, these sites never requires you to pay them."If the site doesnt get paid from me, then why would they have this service going?" - The sites dont get paid directly from you, but when you complete an offer or survey, they also get paid a small portion of what you earned yourself. For example, if you complete a survey about computers lets say, you would earn maybe $2 and the web site itself would recieve $0.50 from the company also for getting you to complete the survey. These surveys take little time at all, most taking up less than even 1 or 2 minutes of your time.Fraud is also a big deal on the Internet these days, and this site recognizes that. That is why they ask for ONLY three bits of information: Your name, email address and your home address. Yup, that is all. No credit card information, no banking information, nothing like that. All they require is your name and address so that your cheque can be sent to your home every month. Your email address is only required to confirm that you have done the offers and surveys. Fortunately, no spam mail or junk mail is ever sent out by this site and your information is never shared with any other company.Personally I have been a member of these websites, along with thousands of other satisfied users, for approximately 1.5 years now and have earned well over $8600 by working in my spare time. This web site has been great to me, also the members and administrator are very friendly, and are always there to help you with a question or problem you may be having. So far, Ive listed only positives about this site, because I cant think of a single negative thing about it. Earn money in your spare time, at no cost to you...Easy as that! I give you my word that they pay.email me at lancesurveys@hotmail.com if you have any questionsp.s half the answers you were givens are scams awsurveys, snapdollars, etc.

Its possible to find companies without fees or upfront charges.I looked for a very long time before I found the company Im with today I will tell you that it is a lot of work and it takes committment. This website contains a list of some companies that may be hiring, also also some general information on working at home and data entry etc.Take the time to find something you enjoy doing from home and something you believe in because you do not want your home to become a prison that you just do not want to work in.
Answer9:there some websites paying 4 dollars per surveys to join it goto featured job section of http://job.kritagya.net.npabove link is an online job registrar, online job registrar are those which links you (the job seeker) and the companies seeking online workers. There are few more online job registrars as well but i recomended you this simply because this requires no registration on their site and all job listingsa are verified that they are free to join and they do pay you no matter where you live.this registrar has a good responsible support system and monthly cash offer in which one registered via them will be given some cash via paypal

Answer2:Culvers minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit.I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long.Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring. What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.

I want to get a job at GNC

I have been out of a job for the past couple of months. Mainly because i wanted to focus on school and some self improvement techniques.I was at GNC tonight and got myself some whey protein. And i thought, wouldnt it be great to work here. The hours look reasonable, and the pay is ok.Does anyone know how to get a job there, i will check tomorrow but can anyone give me some pointers on how to make sure i get the job. Do i need to make a resume?because i have only had 2 real jobs one was a cart attended and the other a food prep worker at a retirement home. Im 19 years old and would really like to get a job at gncanyone help?
Answer1:Go in the store and ask for an application, or go to their website and see if you can fill out one online (in-store would be better if they offer it).Call about 3 days after you returned it, ask for the manager, and tell them you are checking on the status of your application.Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

What should my career be

Every time I have a conversation with an adult, they always ask me what I want to do and where I want to go to college. I really have no idea.I dont have any hobbies or interests. I just go to school, do my homework, listen to music, go to bed, and then to school, and the cycle repeats.Im good at math and science even though I hate it, but I hate literature even more.My biggest talent is art but it bores me.I love traveling but I dont like people and have no social skills. I speak Spanish and English.Thats about it.My mom thinks Im going to be a musician or one of those people with the ink blot cards (I forgot what theyre called). My dad also wants me to/thinks Ill be a musician.
Answer1:Well when your in collage do a simple job like a waiter...youll get to hear all different kinds of stories from people and youll get to try something that is a little bit different style than you. Later, i would suggest something like and architect, your creative from art, and you are smart and can measure walls and such.
Answer2:You dont mention your age, but Ill assume that you are in high school. You must have some interests for your parents to mention music as a career, and there are some high school subjects that you would have chosen to take. You mention art and that is a broad field. The type of art and music courses taught in high school are only an introduction. Art can include sculpture, architecture, desktop publishing, advertising/marketing, animation, cartoonist, jeweller, landscaper, illustrator, etc... The music industry has not only musicians, but also composers, recording artists, DJs and music mixers, managers, promoters and much more. There are also music therapists. You could also put your language skills to use translating books in print or on tape.A career counsellor at your local employment centre can administer an interest and aptitude inventory and help you to interpret your results.I also suggest reading Barbara Shers book, "I Could Do Anything If Only I Knew What It Was." Each chapter describes different personality styles and has some exercises that will help you make some choices. Another book that may be helpful if you are having difficulty choosing is, "Refuse to Choose," also by Barbara Sher.Good luck

What are good jobs for a 13 yr old

Heey! Im sitting here with my friend and we want to know a few good ways to make some quick bucks for those little things to do. So...if you wanna put out the time of day, please list a few ways to make money in the winter...?Thanks!!!!!!!!!xoxojessieee! <3
      Answer1:shovel snow for the neighborschores
Answer2:There are a lot of ways that you and your friend can make money this winter. What are your skills and interests? Some teens enjoy and are good at household chores (washing windows, vacuuming, ironing, laundry, etc) while others hate that kind of work and would rather publish a newsletter, host makeup parties, sell books or pet toys or old games or ???, and others will collect recycleable materials to sell. I could go on and on giving ideas but they wont help if you dont like doing the things that I mention so start a list of what you both enjoy doing ... making crafts? baking or cooking? sewing? writing? teaching???? Develop the list to get to a couple of things that you both enjoy and are good at or knowledgeable about. Then, figure out who would pay for these products and services and youve got the start of a business plan. Check your library for a few of the many books written for teens about business. I bet you can make ALOT of money but you have to plan it. Get your parents on board to help you. A real business is a legal and financial responsibility. Its okay to take risks but make sure they are sensible ones.

Answer1:Heres one site for job postings in India. There are others. If I am interviewed for a job, should I tell them I didn39;t work for the previous year

I had neurosurgery on my arm last year, and couldnt work afterwards for about a year. Other than that I have a good resume. In fact an executive recruiter said it was about the best written resume she had ever come across and Im getting a number of interviews. I also did lots of volunteer work while I was getting better i.e., translating for corporations and doing volunteer work at a medical center. Should I tell an interviewer about my year of not technically working? Im completely better now, but I dont want them to get the idea I have some sort of permanent injury or that Im lazy, since Im not lazy and the operation was 100% successful--it just took time to heal owing to the nature of the injury. I know its illegal to discriminate because of a handicap. But while Im not handicapped, I know that employers can be suspicious or easily break the law without telling you why they didnt hire you, or both.
Answer1:It would be okay for you to say you were out of work for an injury. Employers usually dont mind if your lapse is for a good reason. I have 8 months blank on my resume because I was abroad and my visa did not permit me to work, and no one has thought ill of me.What I would recommend is putting the volunteer work on your resume in your work history. It looks really good that you were willing to dedicate your time as a volunteer. That way, your gap wont be so big and you have an extra kicker on your resume!
Answer2:They will notice you had a year off and ask you about it. Seeing as you had a legitamate reason I wouldnt worry too much. Say the op was a success, you are 100% better and there wont be any furture problems with it. Say that you did volunteer work and go into details. This will show that you are not lazy and volunteer work always looks good on a cv.

Are cover letters necessary for all job applications

For example, a job application at a news agency, or a supermarket.
Answer1:yes for news agency nd has to be impressive, for the supermarket, not necessary if you are applying for a stock person or a cashier but recommended for a position as supervisor or in management. a cover letter shows how professional you are; so you might consider it with any application if you want to seek growth in a company
Answer2:Not all. A job to be a cashier, waitress, or something very simple likely does not need one and only needs an application.Anything where you send an actual resume, a professional job, or any type of management or supervisory position you are expected to send a cover letter. When in doubt, send a cover letter. It makes you look more professional. It also gives you the opportunity to introduce yourself in writing instead of being just another name on a paper. A cover letter is also critically important if you are missing a qualification. You dont want the employer to look at the resume and instantly throw you out of the pool. You can explain what you are missing and why it shouldnt disqualify you.Cover letters are only usually 2-3 paragraphs long. Keep it to the point. You dont have to get complicated. Remember your goal is to score an interview. Not explain your whole life history. The interview is where you will either win or lose the job.
Answer3:If you apply and get sent a form to fill in a nice letter with it will show some manners. All you need to say is."Please find enclosed the completed application form for the position of..... and I look forward to hearing from you very soon."
Answer4:In my opinion, if you are serious about landing a job you should ALWAYS submit a cover letter, regardless of the job in question.A well written cover letter allows you to expand upon skills, qualifications, or past experiences that you feel may be especially relevant to the position you are applying for. So, for example, if you are applying for a position at a supermarket and have a strong background in working with people, stocking shelves, handling inventory, have worked around produce, etc., then you should mention such things in your cover letter.Keep in mind, however, that a cover letter should not simply rehash the information that is on your resume - it should EXPAND upon it.Plus, as others here have indicated, a cover letter enables you to demonstrate your professionalism as well as your seriousness about the job in question.Good luck.
Answer5:Yes, for some it should only be brief though.
Answer6:It depends on whether you have to fill in an application form. If you do you dont need a cover letter. If you are just taking in a resume, write a nice cover letter on top. My brother also recommends putting a photo of yourself (as small one) on the cover letter too. It makes you look different especially if you do it on a coloured printer.
